Director of Practice Services

About the Role: The Director of Practice Services at Keystone Women’s Care is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing and enhancing the operational efficiency and quality of clinical services within the organization. This role ensures that all practice services align with regulatory standards, patient care excellence, and organizational goals. The Director will lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration among clinical, administrative, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes and service delivery. They will also drive strategic initiatives to improve practice workflows, implement best practices, and support continuous professional development. Ultimately, this position serves as a key driver in maintaining Keystone Women’s Care’s reputation as a leading provider of comprehensive women’s health services.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program; BSN preferred. Preferred experience in labor and delivery, triage, postpartum care and/or gynecological care. Prior experience in office-based nursing and management is strongly desired.
Licenses and Certification: Current Pennsylvania RN license and CPR required. Certification in office nursing (preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Functions as team leader. Responsible for the overall supervision, management, and implementation of the strategic direction of Keystone Women’s Care.
- Supervises the Office Manager who is responsible for reception, scheduling, check in/check out, medical records and patient referrals.
- Communicates necessary information to staff. Holds monthly or more frequent meetings with staff to ensure information and staff education is communicated in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains skills for EHR utilization, chart auditing, and operational reports.
- Assists with providing telephone triage and assistance to patients.
- Provides patient education opportunities.
- Provides/scheduled education for nursing staff.
- Ensures the quality of the new employee orientation.
- Assures each staff member has a performance review completed within 90 days of hire and then annually.
- Conducts and tracks competency assessments of clinical staff under the provisions of the KH Employee Competency Assessment program.
- In conjunction with the Nurse Educator, ensures staff complete mandatory education as described in the KH Mandatory Education Policy.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance Program.
- Completes monthly audits as required.
- Overseas the laboratory and assures it is clean, neat, and controls are maintained and properly documented. Is responsible for overseeing the Laboratory Manual is updated. Performs or directs the performance and documentation of proficiency testing for all staff personnel.
- Monitors the implementation and practice of clinical nursing and laboratory policy and procedures to conform to all legal and regulatory requirements as well as the policies of Keystone Health.
- Conducts monthly and year-end inventories. Assesses the use of and controls the ordering of medical supplies. Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained and maintenance is documented.
- Approves the nursing staff schedule and any changes necessary and ensures adequate staffing.
- Approves schedule for provider coverage in conjunction with practice Medical Director and Office Manager.
- Approves staff payroll for the practice.
- Attend the Practitioner Meeting every month.
- Attend KH Management meetings.
- Assists with the development of new programs.
- Is a liaison between providers and staff.
- Is a liaison between outside agencies and Women’s Care nursing functions.
- Prepares budget for Women’s Care clinical operations.
- Responsible for maintaining strict confidentiality regarding patient status as well as matters regarding personnel in accordance with HIPAA compliance regulations.
