Registered Nurse (RN) Triage

Location: Keystone Family Medicine Catherine Street, Chambersburg, PA

Details: Full Time (40 hours per week) 8:00am – 5:00pm – Monday – Friday (No weekends and no holidays!)  

Role Overview: Join our team as an RN Triage Nurse. This position provides medical services and advice within their scope of practice or with a provider’s direction. In this role you will act as a resource for other members of the nursing team and utilize your professional nursing judgment and critical thinking skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and provide medical advice within Pennsylvania guidelines.
• Document patient care information and clinical data accurately.
• Review patient charts and communicate pertinent information to providers.
• Manage incoming and outgoing patient calls efficiently.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Assist with prescription refill management.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and Quality Assurance Program.

Triage Duties:

• Follow-up care calls (appointment scheduling, medical advice, test results).
• Complete forms (physical and immunization records).
• Provide triage services to walk-in patients.
• Organize medication/supplies for patient pick-up.
• Document all clinical activities thoroughly.

Qualifications:

• A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must be a graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in triage and/or acute care preferred. 
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and electronic health records (EHR) applications is required.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
