Registered Nurse (RN) Triage
Location: Keystone Family Medicine Catherine Street, Chambersburg, PA
Details: Full Time (40 hours per week) 8:00am – 5:00pm – Monday – Friday (No weekends and no holidays!)
Role Overview: Join our team as an RN Triage Nurse. This position provides medical services and advice within their scope of practice or with a provider’s direction. In this role you will act as a resource for other members of the nursing team and utilize your professional nursing judgment and critical thinking skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and provide medical advice within Pennsylvania guidelines.
- Document patient care information and clinical data accurately.
- Review patient charts and communicate pertinent information to providers.
- Manage incoming and outgoing patient calls efficiently.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Assist with prescription refill management.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and Quality Assurance Program.
Triage Duties:
- Follow-up care calls (appointment scheduling, medical advice, test results).
- Complete forms (physical and immunization records).
- Provide triage services to walk-in patients.
- Organize medication/supplies for patient pick-up.
- Document all clinical activities thoroughly.
Qualifications:
- A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in triage and/or acute care preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and electronic health records (EHR) applications is required.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
