Bilingual Pharmacy Cashier
Location: Keystone Pharmacy – Chambersburg, PA Catherine Street Center
Schedule: Monday – Friday w/ Saturday rotation | Full Time (40 hours/week) | No holidays
Keystone Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Bilingual Pharmacy Cashier to join our team. This full-time role is responsible for accurately processing transactions, managing inventory, supporting pharmacy operations, and providing exceptional customer service in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate attention to detail, and uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process payments using the pharmacy’s point-of-sale system.
- Greet and assist customers in both English and Spanish, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to verify prescription information and proper handling/dispensing of medications.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station; assist with inventory management as needed.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and privacy standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
- Strong basic math skills and experience with cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work full-time in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and prescription processes.
- Customer service training or certification.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
