About the Role:
The Bilingual Pharmacy Cashier plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience at Keystone Pharmacy. This position involves managing transactions accurately while providing exceptional customer service in both English and Spanish, enhancing communication with our customers. The role requires attentiveness to detail in handling payments, processing prescriptions, and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations. The cashier will also support pharmacy staff by managing inventory and assisting customers with general inquiries, contributing to the overall operational success of the pharmacy. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash transactions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work full-time hours in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and prescription processing.
- Customer service training or certification.

Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the pharmacy’s point-of-sale system.
- Greet and assist customers in both English and Spanish, addressing their questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Verify prescription information and collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure proper handling and dispensing of medications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Adhere to all privacy and security policies to protect patient information and comply with healthcare regulations.
