“I had some recent health issues, causing me to be hospitalized twice in a short period of time. Dr. Varkey of Keystone Family Medicine was my doctor at the Chambersburg Hospital. Dr. Varkey, knowing that I work part time and was having difficulty paying my medical bills, suggested that I call Keystone Outreach Enrollment and explore my options for payment plans. I contacted Keystone Outreach Enrollment and was put in contact with Erin, an Outreach Worker. Erin worked very hard to find the best possible scenario for my situation, and I am so thankful for all that she has done for me. She treated me like a friend, and helped me to understand the system as well as the paperwork that comes with it. One thing worth pointing out, is that I have insurance – the problem is that I still was having trouble paying for the services not covered by insurance. Erin of Keystone Outreach Enrollment helped to get me into a reduced fee program with consolidated bills – so I now understand what services I am paying for, and am able to pay at a rate that I am comfortable with. My advice to others in my situation is to never be afraid to ask for help- there are many options for assistance out there.”
