Keystone Family Medicine is seeking a full-time (40 hours weekly) Patient Referral Specialist to join the team.
Previous office nursing experience and knowledge of electronic medical record preferred. Experience as a medical scribe highly preferred. Responsibilities include performing duties in a clinical setting to facilitate the timely coordination of patient referrals. Carries out practitioner orders that relate to referrals, including scheduling of appointments & obtaining preauthorization for insurance companies, etc. Provides telephone assistance to patients seeking assistance with referrals. Knowledge of all insurance requirements for prior authorizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
LPN Applicants
Current PA LPN license
Current CPR /BLS certification
CMA Applicants
Certified Medical Assistant
Current CPR/BLS certification
Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
