The Keystone Health March Employee Spotlight shines on Pam Gabler of Keystone Health.
Since the 1980’s Pam Gabler has grown her career as Keystone Health has grown. She began her time with Keystone by helping volunteer dentists work with Keystone’s Migrant Dental Clinics and later went on to work in finance, billing, and collections. She left Keystone in 1998 but returned less than a decade later to manage Keystone Internal Medicine. Today, Pam works as Keystone Health’s Director of Clinical Informatics.
Pam says she enjoys her job knowing it’s helping others. “Working for Keystone makes me feel like I am part of a bigger effort to help care for people who otherwise would not receive care,” she said. “There is great satisfaction when our department can make a difference helping Keystone providers, reduce frustration, and make processes more efficient – this in turn helps every patient have a better experience.” Every day is different but Pam spends most of her time working on issues related to the electronic health record program.
Pam and her husband Chip live in Chambersburg with their dog Rilee. “We are blessed to have four children and five grandchildren,” she said. “My husband and I prefer the mountains, cabins, and hikes through the woods. We enjoy biking and kayaking as well.” When she’s not at work, Pam enjoys gardening and painting. “We have a great community in Chambersburg. People are willing to help each other out,” she said.
