Get to know Andrew Leeper, the newest Occupational Therapist at Keystone Pediatric Developmental Center!
Where did you go to college?
Messiah University
What is your favorite part of your line of work?
My favorite part of being an OT is seeing my patients progress in the areas we target. I also love discovering each of my patients’ unique interests and finding fun, creative ways to utilize those interests as therapeutic interventions.
Why did you choose to work at Keystone?
I completed a fieldwork rotation with Keystone while I was a student and I absolutely loved it. My fieldwork supervisor, Joel Desotelle, and the other therapists made me feel like a part of the family from my first day. Keystone also has a state-of-the-art OT facility our patients can enjoy.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love to swim. I’m also an ancient history buff.
Where is your hometown?
I grew up in Chambersburg.
What’s an interesting fact about yourself or something people might be surprised to know about you?
My great grandfather was a cowboy who homesteaded near Deadwood, South Dakota.
