Keystone Health Distributes Free COVID Home Test Kits and N95 Masks
Keystone Health announced a drive-thru style event where free COVID-19 home test kits and N95 masks will be distributed to community members who attend.
The event will be held on January 29th from 1:00 pm-3:30 pm (or while supplies last) at 830 Fifth
Avenue in Chambersburg (Cochran Professional Center). Keystone plans to distribute four tests (or
the equivalent of two home test kits) and N95 masks to each vehicle that attends the event.
The test kits and masks were given to Keystone Health by the Health Resources and Services
Administration (HRSA) as part of The Biden-Harris Administration commitment “to ensuring our
nation’s underserved communities and those disproportionately affected by COVID-19 have equitable access to public health tools needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19”
(https://bphc.hrsa.gov/emergency-response/covid-19-n95-masks). Keystone’s goal is to get as many
test kits and masks into the community where they are most needed.
Monica Diehl, Chief Nursing Officer at Keystone Health says of the event, “On our journey to
restoring a sense of ‘normalcy,’ COVID vaccines and boosters are still our most powerful tool. As
omicron has spread through Franklin County, we have been fortunate to find those who are
vaccinated typically have mild symptoms that allow for a quick recovery. The expanded availability
of home test kits and will aid in early identification of COVID infections and decrease the
spread of disease.”
