The Keystone Health October Employee Spotlight shines on Bev Myers of Keystone Dental Care.
Bev Myers waits each morning until she gets to work to get her first cup of coffee, and then she’s ready to roll. As the director of one of Keystone Health’s busiest practices, Bev says she starts with a plan and then adapts on the fly to handle the unexpected.
Bev began her career at Keystone Dental Care as a receptionist in 1999. She then moved to lead receptionist and now serves as the director. “Keystone is my second family, I work with great people every day,” she said. “Keystone has been there for me both at work and during very hard personal times. Our organization has caring and driven people at every level.”
Helping patients, writing and obtaining grants, and assisting staff to resolve patient concerns and practice issues –Bev does what she can to help serve her patients better. “I work hand in hand with our medical director and outreach hygienist to create programs that expand dental services to other Keystone sites and in the community,” Bev said. “Many patients we serve cannot afford dental care, so every grant I help to obtain and manage can benefit so many people in our community. Not many people get to say the project I worked on today will help someone—my work allows me to do that each and every day. “
Bev and her husband of 33 years love living in peaceful Franklin County— away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to the city to travel for entertainment. When she’s not working or spending time with her husband and son, Bev enjoys time in her flower garden or reading.
