At Keystone Health, we’re committed to helping anyone in our community get the health care they need, regardless of ability to pay. That’s why we’ve partnered with Connecting Kids to Coverage, an organization that promotes the availability of free and low-cost health insurance through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Keystone Health offers outreach enrollment navigators that can help connect children and teens up to age 19 to health coverage through different government programs like Medicaid and CHIP. These programs cover many services including regular check-ups, shots, doctor and dentist visits, hospital care, mental health services, prescriptions, and more—services every child needs. Kids in a family of four earning up to $47,700 a year or more may qualify.
Joanne Cochran, president and CEO of Keystone Health says Franklin County residents will benefit greatly from this program. “Programs like these are so vitally important to our community because it allows us to get out there on the front lines and educate people on options and plans that are available to them. There are so many state and federal options available for care. Change is never easy, but it is necessary for a healthy future,” she said.
Our outreach enrollment navigators are located around Franklin County and offer convenient and flexible hours to serve the community. With offices in downtown Waynesboro, downtown Greencastle, downtown Chambersburg, as well as two offices at Keystone Health, you don’t have to travel far. Outreach enrollment navigators will sit down with you and talk about your situation. Based on your information, they’ll find the best fit for your children and your family. They can even come to you or meet you at a local library or church if that’s more convenient.
Unlike the Affordable Care Act where you’ll have to wait to November to enroll, Medicaid and CHIP are open for enrollment all year long. Parents may be eligible too. Just because you’ve been denied in the past, doesn’t mean you won’t qualify now so it’s important to find out.
Our outreach enrollment navigators are also trained to find other community programs or grants to help pay for services not covered. They can also talk to you about sliding fee scale for services or payment plan options for those who may not qualify for other programs. Don’t let lack of finances get in the way of getting the healthcare you and your children need. Call us today at (717) 709-7969 or visit www.keystoneoutreachenrollment.org for more information.
