The Keystone Health Employee Spotlight for June shines on Dr. Irakli Mania of Keystone Behavioral Health.
Dr. Irakli Mania joined Keystone Behavioral Health in 2008 as a general psychiatrist. He spends his days seeing patients at the practice on the corner of Norland Avenue and Fifth Avenue in Chambersburg.
“Helping patients has always been the biggest motivator and people getting better is always the biggest reward,” Dr. Mania said. “I am proud that advances in psychiatric medicine allow me to make people’s lives better.”
Dr. Mania says working at Keystone has been a special experience, seeing how Keystone Health and Keystone Behavioral Health have grown. “As the practice continues to grow, we are able to keep a friendly environment around work. People are very supportive around here.” With the growth of the practice, providers are very busy. Dr. Mania wishes he had more time to spend with every patient, but says every provider at the practice does their best with the time they are allotted.
Dr. Mania lives in Franklin County with his wife and young daughters—the most important thing in his life is family. When he’s not at after school activities, Dr. Mania enjoys playing games—he played chess professionally. Before moving to Franklin County, Dr. Mania lived in Philadelphia, New York City, Atlanta, and Philadelphia. He says he likes the slower pace of life here, saying it’s a great place to raise young children.
