Interventional psychiatry uses brain stimulation techniques to treat symptoms and disorders that are not responding well to standard treatment with medications and psychotherapy.
As part of our interventional psychiatry program at Keystone Health, we have two cutting edge treatment options available:
– Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is used by doctors around the world to treat various psychiatric and non-psychiatric conditions by magnetically and painlessly stimulating the brain in an office setting. This treatment is currently FDA approved for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
– SPRAVATO TM (Esketamine) is a novel rapid acting medication that is FDA approved for treatment resistant Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
