Keeping you healthy
Keystone HIV Program has a variety of services aimed at ensuring that HIV+ individuals are able to access the medical care and support they need. Our number one job is to help you maintain or regain your health. Most services are provided free of charge. Charges for medical care are based on the patient’s ability to pay.
Medical and support services are located within Keystone Community Health Services at 111 Chambers Hill Drive, Suite 102, Chambersburg, PA. (717) 709-7909.
Medical Care – One doctor, one visit
Keystone HIV Program medical care is provided by doctors specializing in the treatment of HIV. Patients are able to receive their HIV treatment and their routine medical care from one doctor, in the same visit. Most patients appreciate the convenience and improved level of care that results from this approach. Of course, patients who wish to remain with an established primary care doctor are welcome to come to the program for HIV treatment only. Medical care is provided according to established guidelines and includes preventative measures such as immunizations to protect your health.
Dental Care
Regular dental care is a must for HIV+ individuals. Routine dental services are provided through Keystone Dental Care with referrals for oral surgery when needed.
Medical Case Management
Keystone Case Managers provide individualized assistance to HIV+ individuals in breaking down the barriers to accessing and following through with HIV treatment. Case managers can assist with many needs including obtaining insurance, applying for benefits such as disability, medical assistance, food stamps, referrals to behavioral health and substance abuse services, housing, transportation, and community services. Case managers are also key in supporting patients as they learn about HIV treatment and medications, encouraging patients to take full advantage of medical treatment while addressing roadblocks to successful treatment. HIV case management is available to HIV+ individuals regardless of where they receive their medical treatment.
