The Keystone Health August Employee Spotlight shines on Yomely Ruiz of Keystone Outreach Enrollment.
Yomely Ruiz has a passion for serving others that touches every patient she helps at Keystone Health. Since 2006, Yomely has worked her way across the health system first as a Spanish translator and bilingual scheduler for Keystone Family Medicine and Keystone Internal Medicine and then as a bilingual billing representative for Keystone Health.
Now, Yomely spends her days as a bilingual outreach enrollment navigator at Keystone Health’s Outreach Enrollment program. “I assist consumers to enroll in a health insurance plan either through the Marketplace, medical assistance, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program. To those who may not qualify for health insurance, I assist with charity programs throughout the community,” she said.
Yomely says the best part of Keystone Health is its mission to help those who need it most. “I love working for a company whose mission is to break down any barriers that could be within the community. I’m thankful to work at the downtown location to help overcome some of those barriers like transportation, language or cultural barriers,” she said. “I’m proud of making a difference in people’s lives. I have patients that come in and not know all the programs that are available to them within the community—when I’m able to advocate for them it pushes me to go above and beyond their expectations.”
Yomely lives in Franklin County. She’s married to a great cook and has two children. When she’s not at soccer practice with her kids, she’s at a soccer game or walking the new family dog, Gizzy.
