Dr. Thakker received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry, and her Masters in Public Health at Icahn School of Medicine in Mount Sinai, New York. She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Pacific Dental College and Hospital, in India.
