Under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator, the Health Educator is responsible for providing various health screening services, risk reduction counseling and health education to migrant and seasonal farmworkers at farmer worker homes, labor camps, and other outreach settings. The Health Educator will work with the Regional Coordinator to refer and assist farmworkers in accessing medical and community resources to meet their health needs.
Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with two years’ relevant experience. Community health worker training, or similar training is highly desirable. Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish and English proficiently. Must be able to traverse difficult terrain found in farmworker camps and have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Basic computer literacy.
