Keystone Health is hiring a PRN (8 hours per week) Crisis Intervention Specialist. This department’s primary function is to provide 24/7 telephone, walk-in and mobile crisis intervention services to individuals in crisis, to include mental health and drug/alcohol abusing individuals, in the Franklin County area. Additionally, the Crisis Intervention Specialist provides information and referrals, crisis counseling, assistance with crisis resolution, and assessment of community resources for the individuals who contact the Crisis phone hotline.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree with major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, education or a related field OR
Be a registered nurse OR
Have a high school diploma or equivalency and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social work, psychology, social work, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling, education or related field OR
Have a high school diploma or equivalency and 3 years of mental health direct care experience in public or private human services with employment as a mental health staff person prior to 1/1/92 OR
Be a consumer or a family member who has 1 year of experience as an advocate or leader in a consumer or family group, and has a high school diploma or equivalent.
